TVKC PF International delivered an exciting weekend of kart racing action, showcasing impressive pace, consistent results, and valuable lessons ahead of the British Kart Championships. The Trent Valley Kart Club event provided the perfect opportunity for George Clark and Fusion Motorsport to test speed and racecraft against a strong field at one of the UK’s most renowned kart circuits.

Qualifying and Early Progress at TVKC PF International

Qualifying placed George P8 on the grid, setting the stage for a determined charge through the heats. In Heat 1, he made a clean start and quickly found a strong rhythm on the PF International kart track. A series of well-judged overtakes and confident moves through the field resulted in a brilliant P2 finish, gaining six positions and underlining the progress made during practice.

Heat 2 followed a similar pattern of consistency and focus. Again starting from P8, George stayed calm in the early laps and picked off rivals one by one. By the chequered flag, he had secured P4, another solid result that confirmed the kart’s strong performance in race conditions. These two results placed him P2 overall in the intermediate classification, earning a front-row start for the Final. With plenty of points on offer and the chance to battle for the podium, George and Fusion Motorsport approached the race with confidence.

Final Results and Championship Standings

Off the line in the Final, George held P2 and settled into the lead group, demonstrating the same pace and composure that had carried him through the heats. As the laps progressed, tight battles and a few small mistakes in the pack saw him slip back a few positions. Despite the challenges, he crossed the line in P6, securing another strong haul of points to maintain P1 in the TVKC PF International championship standings. While there was some frustration at not converting the early position into a podium, the weekend overall was a clear success and another step forward for George and the team.

The consistent results and front-running pace highlighted the progress in both speed and race craft. Competing at TVKC PF International against many of the UK’s top drivers was the ideal preparation for the British Kart Championships, and the experience will be valuable moving forward.

George Clark and Fusion Motorsport leave TVKC PF International feeling motivated and focused, ready to carry the momentum into the next round.
